Search Engine Optimization is what SEO stands for.

It is the actions taken to attempt a favorable ranking in Google.

Google’s search results will show pages that it deems to have high authority and high relevance to the search query of an individual’s request.

Relevance and Authority are measured by the number of quality back links to the site.

‘Authority’, in this sense, is Page Authoriy (PA) which is a score given by to ‘predict‘  how well a page, post or website is going to rank in search engine results pages (SERP).

‘Relevance’, in this sense regarding search engines, seeks to describe the degree the substance of your website pertains to a particular term inputted into a search engine.  This is profoundly important to search engines as they use your own input in your websites to rank you for relevance to search terms.
