What Is HobbiLaunch.com – Is HobbiLaunch.com Scam or Legit Store?

What Is HobbiLaunch.com and is it a Fake Online Purchase Store?

A quick heads up on What HobbiLaucnch.com. They have two other stores and they are called FamZily and Weirdo Stuff. You should definitely stay away from those two as well. Is HobbiLaunch com fake, dishonest, crooked, scam or Is HobbiLaunch genuine, safe, trustworthy, legit, honest and delivers your product after payment? There are significant complaints online regarding these sites and that you will quickly conclude they can not be legit. Too often now they have taken peoples money and not delivered any products. This article is sharing its research on how to spot Fake Online Purchase Stores so you don’t get scammed, and also, how you could claim your money back if you were scammed.

ScamWitness.com exposes all manner of online scams. In the past week there has been a noticeable surge around the online shopping stores niche. Here you will find a few other examples of such stores as well. However, this website is also expert in showing people how to earn online as well. To answer the many questions I receive on how to do this then you can view my #1 Recommendation. They are called Wealthy Affiliate and can show anyone how to earn online. No cc to start where you are given and shown how to build two websites. You will be shown then how to add content and rank page 1 of Google daily. This will help you earn for the long term. What Is HobbiLaunch.com – Many Reports of Fraud Online.

There is a quiet storm on Facebook where people are complaining in numbers about the sites mentioned in the intro. Of the sites mentioned you will notice how similar two of them are in wording, naturally telling us, they were made by the same people. What Is HobbiLaunch.com anyways? Well, they are pretending to sell you quilts. However, those images have been stolen per online reports and now they are trying to pass them off as their own. They want you to pay them money and THEN you will see no item arrives on your door step. That really is all their scam is about.

Let us now cast a close eye over Hobbi Launch ourselves to see why they are not legit. The founder is always where I begin to know if they have even submitted any legit owner data. Where such vital info is absent then that is a reliable sign we could be dealing with scammers, in most cases.

HobbiLaunch.com Site

don’t buy from www.hobbilaunch.com

I see that the owner has intentionally failed to supply their names. Where online sites are offering a service where you get paid, or you pay them, then knowing who you are dealing with is only common sense. So you can head of to WHOIS and you just enter in the URL – without https etc – and you will also see their address. That address is Denver, USA, PO BOX 1769.

So, you can have a look at the FarmZily review top of this article and you will see that the same PO BOX supplied for HobbiLaunch is supplied for Farm Zily as well. That is solid proof of an emerging fake online purchase store network and so do report any online websites that you suspect of being scams here, to help stem the tide.

OK, so that is total failure regarding online ID. Let us now get into how they are running their scam in some detail.

Online Purchase Store Scam Signs.

Scam Signs

Don’t buy their poison!

There are a number of key points that determines if a site is fake or not. Some are unique to the type of scam. We will cover both here very quickly.

Replica sites.

No owner info but some info to connect sites – that is a network taking roots.

No cookie policies of any kind.

Privacy Policy Page is missing.

Too many reports online saying they have been scammed.

Major business accreditation sites, like BBB.org, featuring them as a scam site – NOT GOOD!

You pay and then no item shows up.

If item shows up then its probably not going to be the product you ordered. Item could be severely degraded.

The prices are too cheap! You have to consider as well that these kinds of sites will offer insanely low prices for high end up items and still pay for global shipping! At that rate any business is just getting into debt.

HobbiLaunch offers you to spin the wheel for further discounts. They are also wanting your email address as well – that is just a phishing attempt and likely emails will be sold onto scammers for future profit.

Everything on their site about Shirley etc appears just to be a fake back ground story.

Have you been scammed by a shopping site online? Feel free to report them below. Suspect one of heard of one online? Again, just report those URL’s below so we are both talking about the same site to avoid errors. Hobbie Launch is just taking peoples money and then there is no item. That is the bottom line. They appear to be very good at what they do and are most notably popular on Facebook and Instagram. Please help to warn others by sharing this article to raise awareness of these fake shopping sites. Also, do watch out for Berrylook.com, CoolWallet.club and Escapes Mall – all scam sites selling you nothing or a inferio item than what was or is being advertised.

Well, I was very concerned when I heard nothing from HOBBILAUNCH and I had received nothing as far as communication or product. I was just about to call the credit card company when low and behold, the quilt arrived today! It is lovely. Not the highest of quality but certainly good enough for its intended use.
Just wanted to let you know the product did actually arrive.

I ordered 2 quilts and have received one. Same as others saying they received 2 of the same tracking numbers. No answer to my second email and tracking number is invalid, saying it’s been delivered. But delivery date is before the order of the second quilt.

I was scammed by Hobbilaunch and trying to get in touch with either Paypal or the bank is turning into a joke. They keep deflecting through unanswerable questions and then one has to start over. I’m as frustrated as Hell, and will never buy through facebook and/or Paypal again.

Hi Philip. Here is an update to the comment I made in November. I filed a claim with PayPal as I had never received anything. After never hearing from the seller, I escalated the claim. Suddenly I received DHS and USPS tracking information. Today the “quilt” arrived. It is a stamped piece of fabric that is so blurry one cannot truly see the pictures or read the words (I ordered a firefighter quilt.) The left side edge “border” (again it is all stamped and not pieced as a quilt would be) goes from 3/4″ to 5 inches. The right side is as bad. The top has a difference of nearly 2 inches as does the bottom. On the bottom left side are bright green one inch tall numbers…a dye lot or fabric code….that should not be there. I just finished changing the claim with PayPal from Item Not Received to Item Damaged/Significantly Different. I have no idea if PayPal will refund my money but I encourage EVERYONE to make a claim. If there are enough claims, perhaps PayPal will consider this a class action type of suit and sever ties with Hobbilaunch and the many names it goes under. I will keep you posted on the result of my new claim.

      Hi Ellen,

Thank you so much For the update 🙂 . Glad to hear you got ‘something’ but of course it is not what they are advertising. Clearly, that is still a scam. I have high hopes you will get a refund as it is vastly different to what was on offer. Thanks again Ellen and certainly do keep us all informed as your situation concludes.

I too ordered in Sept and after waiting and emails and contacting PayPal the wrong quilt shows up. I change claim to not what I ordered and asking for a refund. The company responds with ship it back to Vietnam address with a tracking number. A laugh in itself since it was 2 months without tracking information provided on their end. So I go to the post office and find out it is $74. to ship with tracking to Vietnam. For a $64. quilt that is cheap, not a queen size but the size of a throw and NOT the one I ordered at all. Peanuts knock off print instead of Wine and Dogs. PayPal decided in my favor but at with the stipulation that I ship this piece of crap back to the seller. since you are limited in your response to just entering tracking shipping info at this point you can’t explain in an update and ask for them to ask the seller to pay the return shipping or honor their website that says if they make a mistake you don’t have to return it. Finally called PayPal and spoke to a real person the best he could do is give me $45 for shipping to do with as I see fit. So I am out $20. For everyone else this is your best bet of recovering anything. Still annoyed but never again ordering for Facebook ad.

        Hi Loy,

You are probably just best off keeping that $45! I can’t believe the shipping is worth more than the amount you paid for an inferior product that is nowhere even close to what you paid for it.

The phone # is no good and they have not responded to my emails. Told them I wanted my money back, but of no response to that either. Got a message where it was shipped but tracking is no good either….lesson learned. From now on I will be VERY CAUTIOUS when ordering from unknown websites……..

        Hi Virginia,

Thank you for alerting everyone to HobbiLaunch and how they scam people! People have reported their first contact with these scammers was from Facebook. When people complain to Facebook, then Facebook says that those ads don’t violate their policies – even though those scammers are breaking real-world laws – JUST NOT THE LAWS OF FACEBOOK! Something needs to be done about that platform because they are getting away with far too much.

Well they got me too. Same story as everyone else. I saw Hobbilaunch on FB and saw something I really thought would be a great Christmas gift. I ordered Sept 18, 2018 and have yet to receive. I emailed and was given an excuse of why the tracking was not working. Then I got an email that is shipped. then another email that it shipped then something actually given me a tracking number with DHL eCommerce. but then it says delayed. Phone number does not work.

I was recently scammed by Farmzily. I ordered a Harry Potter quilt in October, finding the picture provided quite agreeable. What a received was replicated reprint of an original quilt, on cheap fabric, with a typo in one of the quotes. Complete garbage. Tried to resolve with “Cindy Blossoms,” and after a runaround of stories about high production, stressed workers, and then an unfortunate mishap with my “original” quilt, I filed a claim with PayPal. They denied my claim, shockingly, without asking for any email or photos. I can only assume they are getting overwhelmed with claims and have to cut it off somewhere, considering I actually received something, albeit junk. I’m quite furious right now. Lesson learned.

I received the exact same emails from Cindy Blossoms. I ordered in September and just now received a throw quilt with dragonflies instead of a queen Dallas Cowboys. I have been going back and forth with Cindy. I told her give me my money back. She said she would refund 75% or let them make it right and I wait another 2 months because it’s their peak season. Of ripping people off! I asked why 75% and not 100%, she then said they are expanding the business and need the money! OMG! It needs to get out on Facebook to warn people. 😡

I too ordered blankets (2) from Hobbilaunch. Got 2 emails with the exact same order number which struck me funny but dismissed it. Heard nothing from them so after 2 weeks I emailed them because the site ship within 10 days. I then got and email stating orders would be on their way. I then got 2 separate emails containing tracking info. Once I tried to track they said for over a week that they were in New Jersey. Waited over another week and still nothing so I sent them another email and it came back site down. I have tried to find information to contact them and found and email address that I emailed and it was returned to me as not able to deliver! I just submitted a claim with PayPal! I am so upset about this. I order online all the time and have never had an issue before this. I think I am going to stick to Amazon from now on.

I also waited just over 2 months for my quilt from Hobbilaunch that I ordered Sept 24th. I got the same emails about production, and that it had shipped, but tracking provided no info, and the site could no longer find my order. I had emailed them early Nov. and got no response, though an FAQ said it takes about 8 weeks to arrive…so I waited. It did arrive on Nov 29th. It is even the design I ordered (nice surprise) but it does not look as good in person. I really had to examine it to see if it was the same design I had ordered. I think maybe it would have looked a little better in a smaller size (I got King).
Also it is worth noting that it is quite thin.
I definitely would NOT order from them again.

      Hi Jessica,

I am glad you got something, but the fact that it sounds so flimsy, then it is not worth its advertised purpose. Fake sites like HobbiLaunch may manufacture their own prints, but cheap cloth, in order to make a worth while profit The fact that no one from their site has come forward in this forum to help their customers, is also very telling.

I appreciate your report on that site Jessica, it is further proof they are no good.

AmeliQuilt.com is a new version of it as well, so watch out for them. I am also just finishing up on exposing another one of their scam sites, and so you are welcome to comment there when its done, should you have time of course.

Guess what arrived in the mail today? The cat “quilt” I ordered from HobbiLaunch. It was the image I chose, but it is two very thin pieces of cotton sewn together poorly with strings hanging off all over it and poor seams. It’s supposed to be queen size but only covers the top of the bed. No one is keeping warm with this thing! I got something for my $$, but it’s a product that you would expect to get for much, much less. Oh, and rather than their farm in Voort, Victoria the package was stamped “Made in China”.

If anyone is interested in investigating if their “quilt” is coming, you might try the return address that was on the package: JCR Richard, 347 S Stimson Ave, City of Industry, CA 91744. There was a DHL GM # but the package came by USPS.

I had found two other pages that had the exact same bio as HobbiLaunch with only a name change here or there. They were emmacottons.net and aflatunense.com. Today I see that they are both gone with the “This shop is unavailable” error message.

So glad I found this site. I saw a cute cat quilt on Facebook and ordered it from Hobbilaunch on October 1. I got immediate confirmation emails that looked legit, so I didn’t start to worry until 6 weeks had gone by and no quilt. The tracking number they sent me came back “order not found.” I contacted them via email, and they responded that they were having trouble with their website but that my quilt had been made and was being shipped. Still nothing. Tracking number initially suggested the quilt was in New Jersey, but after a few days I got the same “order not found” result. Contacted them again, asking for a guaranteed delivery date or refund. Received a vague email asking me to “be patient.” Then googled Hobbilaunch and found this website. I’m embarrassed I got fooled by a scammer. Usually I just buy from amazon–and I won’t be making purchases from other sites without doing some due diligence in the future.

I just filed a dispute with PayPal. I’ll let y’all know how it turns out.

Wanted to offer an update: PayPal informed me that the vendor had not replied to their inquiry after I filed the dispute, so they credited me the full purchase price. About a week later I received the quilt in the mail. I realize that technically I was not legally obligated either to return the quilt or pay the company for it, given that they did not respond to the PayPal dispute. However, I decided to re-send the payment via PayPal because I had, in fact, received a product I had ordered. Even if the quality was not as good as I had hoped, I figure it is a cheap lesson about buying from Facebook without investigating the product/company thoroughly ahead of time. And I’d rather sleep well at night with a clean conscience, even if it is with a cheap quilt that arrived many weeks later than I had hoped. 😉

Add me to the list. I ordered a king sized fireman’s quilt for my son on Sept 22nd. I got the “order is in production” email that everyone else got and then nothing. Emailed them 5 weeks later because the tracking on their site said it was awaiting pick up by the carrier for FOUR weeks, and got the “please be patient, we are working on it” email. Three weeks later the tracking site was a 404 page and their website said there was no such order # found. I emailed them again and of course received no answer. I instituted a claim with Paypal and suddenly got the DHL tracking number email that many others received. However in a week, the items has not moved and there is no tracking information . I will escalate the claim with PayPal.

    Good Evening,

I received today – after 2 months waiting – my package which should contain a quilted blanket for which I paid about $64. I purchased the article on 20 September 2018 via Paypal.

There was indeed a blanket inside the package but of lesser quality and having a different design (US sports teams instead of cats) :-D. It was intended to be a Christmas gift for my daughter – now I will give it to my son.

I was growing suspicious when the page and tracking number were not accessible any more last week.

Next time I purchase an item from an unkown site – I will first make a search if the page is a scam or not. I am also glad that this was my very first really “bad encounter” with an internet shop.

    Kind regards,
    Michèle Zeimes, Luxembourg

      Hi Michele,

It is little consolation but at least you got something. I am almost surprised that you need, but I also see, that have others have done as well but NOT the one ordered. That is still a scam. And yes, always most definitely check if there are articles online warning or praising any site. 1 Complaint never makes a site a scam, but those who expose online scams can certainly share their expertise on these matters, and so such articles are worth searching for.

Thank you kindly for sharing your experience Michele.

I also fell for the Hobbilaunch scam. I contacted PayPal the second I caught on to the scam and PayPal told me I had buyers remorse and they would not assist me. It is now going on almost two months since I ordered and I got a random email that my 3 pound king size quilt has shipped with DHL shipping. Highly advise everyone to stay away from this company and their sister sites.

      Hi Sarah,

Try PayPal one more time as that response is completely out of order! I am very surprised at their response as I am certain that other people have contacted PayPal regarding HobbiLaunch. Why share this article with them and let them see all the comments of other people being scammed. I have never heard such an unprofessional response given out by PayPal. Click here ->> to Dispute a PayPal Transaction and show them the overwhelming proof here that Hobbi Launch is a fake scamming site.

So I am sorry to hear that they did not see things as they are and hope they see sense soon and give you a refund.

Thank you also for your report and warning regarding these fraudulent online purchase order sites. ~Philip.

Is this possible Hobbilaunch is also operating under Sleepious.com ? This site seems to be another scam. They took my money right away and after my follow up 2 weeks later they gave me a bogus tracking number.

I ordered 1 quilt September 23, and one quilt on September 25. After sending hobbilaunch.com an email requesting their phone number, I never received a response. I became suspicious, so I decided to check for any complaints online. A website called scamadvisor.com warned me about them being scammers, so I immediately contacted my bank. After investigating the matter, they were fairly prompt in issuing me two credits of $69.00 each. In the meantime I attempted to track the packages and was told that there was a delay in shipment for one of them. The one coming from China required downloading software to track the shipping, and my antivirus warned against it. I kept receiving emails that both orders were “in production,” but subsequently their website was unavailable. I finally received the second quilt which I had ordered (first) on November 11. The first quilt I ordered came from China on November 23. Both were not representative of what I ordered and were very cheap quality, printed blankets that have fake quilt blocks. The whole quilt is one piece with the designs printed thereon! The reverse side is a solid, bland gray color. One was shipped from the U.S.A. east coast, and one from China. Very frustrating experience, and I’m glad I trusted my intuition!

      Hi Sharon,

I am delighted you got your money back. So they sent you out some products but far inferior quality then what was advised. Even at the reduced rate they sell them for, given how cheap the products sound like, they would still have made a profit on them.

These sites that the unknown scammers make seem to be creating and shutting down sites quite regularly. With your report, and all the others left in this forum, I am confident it will go a long way to hurting the fraudulent earnings of HobbiLaunch and their other sites as well.

Thank you Sharon for taking the time to comment here today 🙂 ~Philip.

      Hi Marcy,

Yes, that is a very strange experience indeed. So it looks like, or HobbiLaunch is trying to make it look like, they are sending you ‘something’ regarding your order. That is intriguing indeed. Definitely ask PayPal to see if they can somehow block Hobbi Launch from charging your PayPal, if it is possible they can.

I am glad you got the refund for sure as well. Personally I think that scam site is only playing games and I have little doubt you will receive anything. Keep us all up to date anyways if something develops Marcy if you have a moment. Thank you.

Supposedly my blanket was shipped on the 22nd.. it’s been “enroute” for 8 days now.. what a joke. Glad I got my money back through paypal. I also talked to PayPal to see if hobbilaunch can recharge me. They said if something does show up, refuse it. Hobbilaunch can dispute the refund if I actually do get a refund. I honestly doubt think anything will ever show up.

Was able to send them an email thru the confirmation email and told them l was getting worried, no reply. Went and researched comments on them and found all the scam info out. Went to my bank and canceled my debit card and working on getting ahold of paypal. This am l received another email from them stating its on its way with DHL delivery service. Very horrible cheaply made printed blanket that has blurry “quilt blocks”. I did get one email from their customer service but never heard back from them again. There are people online trying to make platforms like Facebook take responsibility for the safety of its users. People are walking into their ‘house’ and getting mugged – so to speak. Once your bank investigates and clearly see you were scammed then I anticipate a full refund. Be great if you would let us know how that goes, as well.

Thanks again Stacey, ~Philip (Scam Witness).

I have been scammed by this website.

The same thing happened to me just like it happened to Deborah.

I also purchased thru paypal and they are investigating. So, hopefully I will be getting my money back.

I think this company is back on fb with a different name it is called Sleepious. I think I will give the people who love the horse quilts like I did a heads up so they don’t get stuck like I did.

I have been scammed 3 different times this month and I am not happy.

One of the companies sold wigs and they closed down their website and sent me the ugliest wigs that were not even hair. Paypal is on that one to and then last but not least the other company sent me the wrong item after waiting forever to get it and now they want me to pay $20 to sent it back! Oh, they won’t give me an address and they said someone would pick it up.

I am pretty sure they are in China and they think I will just keep the item but I will continue to pursue this with paypal.

      Hi Marlene,

I really am very appreciative you have reported your experience with HobbiLaunch and now Sleepious – of which, I will look into the later. I really do appreciate you helping to make others aware of the dangers of these sites. If there are anymore like these then you are welcome to report them here and I’d be delighted to expose them on Google.

Thank you again Marlene and it really was a pleasure to receive you report. ~Philip (Scam Witness).

I ordered from hobbilaunch end if september. They said it would be about 6 weeks until my blanket arrived. A few weeks ago I received an update with normal tracking number with usps. Have not heard anything since except USPS says there has been a delay due to California fires so I have no idea if something was sent or if I’ve been scammed.

      Hi Darlene,

I am not buying that ‘reason’ and I advise you seek a refund via your payment source. However, I am not a lawyer and so best to seek legal advice but I believe this will be your end course of acgtion.

Thank you kindly for your report on HobbiLaunch and their lack of product delivery.

Yes I’ve been scammed. One or two replies via email. No product. A 4 digit tracking number or order number, that suddenly doesn’t exist. I’m so glad I purchased through PayPal. Hopefully I will get a refund!

      Hi Deborah,

I am sure they will Deborah. Once they investigate and see clearly you were scammed then I have great hope for that refund. PayPal will then chase the crooked people for that money if they can catch them.

Let us know how it turns out with that Doborah sometime 🙂

Hobbilaunch got me too. I purchased back in September and got a couple of emails and now you go to the site and it does nothing. It just says ho whenever you try to access any options.

          Hi Ronda,

The reports on HobbiLaunch are starting to come in now. It only takes one brave person to reveal their experience with such sites and this gives others courage to report as well. The more reports like yours Ronda that expose sites like Hobbi Launch the more money their scam site loses. This will make their site worthless to run sooner rather than later.

Thank you kindly for your report and it is most appreciated.

Hi I too was scammed by Hobbilaunch on Facebook. Ordered my blanket mud September and got nothing but the runaround via email stating orders take 6-10 weeks and at one point stated it was coming from Singapore. I stupidly used my debit card too. Never again will I purchase anything from a Facebook website. In fact I deactivated my Facebook. What do I do now?

            Hi Julie,

You may contact your bank, or whichever form of payment you used, and explain what happened. They will run their own investigation, and when they see you really were scammed, I am sure they will refund you.

I think you have 90 days to reactivate your Facebook Account. You could just complain to Facebook. Really appreciate you reporting here within this forum and I know it will help others before they lose cash. ~Philip (Scam Witness).
