What Is AmeliaQuilt.com – Read Here Before You Buy Anything From Them.

Something must of prompted you to ask What Is AmeliaQuilt.com (www.amelia-quilt.com)? Is AmeliaQuilt com fake, scam, crooked, dishonest, bad or Is AmeliaQuilt genuine, safe, real, legit, good? This Amelia Quilt is not a member review but a warning to everyone not to buy from their site! Owners have a few other sites called HobbiLaunch, NannaThread, Sleepious, FarmZily, NonnaLand (closed). These scam artists are ripping off the good names of legit companies online and trying pass it off as their own. They are hoping to get good companies traffic by peoples typos. Double check all URL’s to make sure you are on the correct site.

There is no doubt in my that Amelia Quilt is fake and only out to rip off people. They have themed their site around the Christmas Holidays to come and so I don’t expect them to be around after such a period. Do report them below if you are worried or outright scammed by their fake site. Any site that looks like the one(s) under question are welcomed to be reported in the comments as well. For those interested, because its a question that keeps coming up, there is a way to earn online. I recommend Wealthy Affiliate because it has proven to work for me. Let us continue with this AmeliaQuilt Review.

What Is AmeliaQuilt.com About? The Full Answer.

Everything to follow is to show you why they are not good and why you should stay clear of them. To be 100% the following sites are also fraudulent, and belong to the same scam network, called HobbiLaunch, FarmZily, GoodsZily, NannaThread and Sleepious and also there maybe more. Do report them below. For now, let us begin to try to find out who the owner is. Where this information is hidden then we can say that there is clear suspicion already.

Amelia Quilt was submitted on the World Wide Web on 2018/11/03 and up for 1 year. Already, I take issue with a supposedly real business registering online for just one year. Should we think about this we have to consider all the costs of having a real world business. There is the manufacturing of the products, or buying of them, the office staff, the actual premises to buy or to rent, storage costs inc product depreciation and damages etc. So why would you register, with all those costs including other overheads, just go online for 1 year? Makes no sense and you would and I do see real businesses register for 5 and up to 20 years online.

AmeliaQuilt.com Site

don’t buy anything from www.amelia-quilt.com!

Anyways, that is another sign of a hit and run scam site. The other is where we see a fake address submitted. Their registered address is PO BOX 0823 03411, Panama. Many scam sites will list ‘Panama’ as their address, so, that is another strike against them. Also, that is an incomplete address.

Their website shows us an address that belongs to a realtor that has nothing to do with them. So, they have stolen someone else’s address i.e. 2055 Hazel Ave NE, Salem, OR 97301, United States – that is clearly visible on the bottom of their site. Actually, per reports, these scam sites are shipping from China. So, that is where you should expect your product to come from, if you get one.

Click on their Shipping & Delivery Page and it is word-for-word exactly the same on some of their other sites.

Crucially, their founder name is not found anywhere online. They have expertly hidden who the owner(s) are, so when they scam people out of their hard earned cash, then no one knows who to hold accountable. That person or persons can simply shut down their site and keep the earnings. Personally, despite their USA based address, I believe they are operating out of China since that is where reports claim their items are being shipping from per customer reps from their other sites.

This Is How They Trick Others Out Of Cash.

When you order from their site and then you fully to get the quilt that you have ordered. They will give you a tracking order page that will go missing after some time. Despite their delivery promises it is typical to wait up to and beyond two months. The following could be described as a typical experience ordering from their site.

The item ordered simply fails to arrive on your door step. Payment is taken very fast and also do watch out they don’t over charge you. Worse still, watch out that they don’t continue to charge your card. Scam sites may try to charge a recurring fee on a monthly basis. Simply contact your bank, PayPal etc, and put in a dispute on those charges.

Should an item arrive then its more than possible it is NOT the one that you have already paid for. That is a common complaint with their HobbiLaunch site which you can check out in the link provided at the start of this article.

Also, if your order arrives, then the quality of the item is of a far lesser quality then what you paid for. That is still a scam site those that do this despite them delivering something. Typically, they will/ ask you to pay for returns where the scenario is simply repeated, or, nothing is returned.

Once payment is made then its anyone’s guess if you get anything for your money. As mentioned, do report them if you were scammed by AmeliaQuilt below in the comments. Your reports will go along way to helping others avoid their fake shopping site and get them shut down sooner. Thank You.

Verdict:-

Verdict

Report Them Below To Starve Them Of Illegal Earnings.

Final Thoughts.

Their scam sites are taking significant money from people for either no product or an inferior version of it. Actually, some reports say that they get an entirely different print then what they ordered. Money is taken lightening fast and then the trouble begins. There is a two week check up where customer reps may become belligerent, at which point, it is not uncommon for them to outright ignore you.

Have you got a question on What Is AmeliaQuilt.com that has not been covered by this article? Perhaps you know another one of their sites rampaging through Facebook conning people? You are welcome to place those URL’s (complete URL to avoid mistakes) where I will expose them for you page 1 of Google. Big Thank You To Anne-Marie in the comments section for letting everyone know about Sleepious and now Amelia Quilt versions of the same scam. It really is much appreciated 🙂 . I, too, am ashamed to say that I was scammed by AmeliaCotton. I ordered on 12/10/2018 and have yet to receive my item. Initial email response to order was received promptly with an order number and all info that looked legit. Every email I sent was responded with “Your order is being processed”
I reported to my credit card yesterday and was told they would refund my account and that they would investigate but it sounded like I had a very good claim.. I have kept all correspondence to back up my claim if need be.
    Lesson learned!

I got scammed as well. I ordered 2 quilts in November for Christmas gifts. Never received either one. I too got an order number and later a tracking number. Nothing!!! I have emailed and threatened to report them, but they just answer that they are reviewing my inquiry and will get back to me in 24-48 hours. Yep, you guessed it……no reply email at all. I guess I’ll just call it a learning experience. Thanks for your report.

I did receive emails from Mariah Garner and Eric Crafta (made up names, I’m sure!). They both used the same email address: cs@ameliaquilt.com.

I guess I can join the club. I ordered a King and Queen in early November. Finally got the queen in January. My emails are no longer returned. I hope I can find my emails from Pay Pal, but I think they disappeared from all my email boxes. At least I feel a little better than I was not the only one…

I ordered a quilt from Amelia Quilts back in the beginning of December of 2018 and I have not received it yet and it was supposed to be a Christmas gift for someone but never came. But then on January 11th I received an email saying it was shipped and was giving this email address to respond to pay01@hiweb.com with a tracking number of CNCSE3191415637208 but I still haven’t gotten. So now I know I got scammed, so I was wondering how I get my money back since I paid with my credit card.

I purchased 3 queen sized quilts in November 2018 to be used as Christmas gifts for my grandsons. I paid $179.85 through PayPal, which I thought protected my purchased…WRONG! When the quilts didn’t arrive as it neared Christmas, I used what I thought was Printable Company Ltd’s (PCL) email address that I found on my PayPal statement. I wanted to check on the order and later on cancel it. It was pay01@hiweb.com. I see now that it’s not their email address at all and that my PayPal statement doesn’t show any way to contact PCL. I did get a tracking # at one point from DCL, it never located any packages when I checked. The “sheets” arrived separately on 3 different days in late January. I opened the 1st one that came because I had no idea what it was, it wasn’t the size of package of anything that I was expecting. It was awful, very cheaply made and very thin. It would never make it through the wash even once. A few days later another came and a day or so later, the final one. (I didn’t open the final 2). I submitted a resolution through PayPal prior to Christmas, it came back weeks later Denied, with no explanation. I disputed the dispute after 1 came and requested for a Customer Service Supervisor to please contact me either by phone or email. It also came back denied.
This is the 3rd issue in 2018 that was denied by PayPal! What happened to their customer service prior to 2018 that used to be excellent? Did they relocate “Resolutions to China?
I got on line recently and did some investigating. I found where other people had the same issues as I did with these quilts, under several different company names. I also noticed that PayPal & credit card issuers all refunded their money. HUH??? I’m out over $300 in the last 6 months, all China transactions. (Plus another $40 due to PayPal but we won’t even go there because it was an entire other mess that I’ve tried to “just let go”.)
Can ANYONE help me? The only thing that I can think of doing at this point is slam the comment section on Face Book when I see these companies adds that ripped me off!! I’ve been so upset on and off since September when this crap started, I’m ready to SCREAM and my family is about to put me in a facility with padded walls. I’m on a fixed income (SS) and this literally ruined not only my grandsons Christmas, but my fall and now headed for spring. HELP PLEASE?

Stupid me to think that this company was legit. They show that they are in the USA but I guess I should have researched them before purchasing. The day after my payment processed through PayPal somebody in Australia tried to make a purchase from my PayPal account for some game that costs 1300.00. PayPal rejected the charge and contacted me. I should have been suspicious then. So now, almost 2 months after my order I read all of your sites posts and realize that I have been scammed. My next step is to contact PayPal and inform them of this and hopefully get some kind of result.

I’m finding out that this is a scam. Many people have been scammed and I’m one of them. I live on disability and this is a shame. I bought two of them. They tricked PayPal by giving them a Tracking number, but it is fake. I do not understand why PayPal is making me and all people reporting this company. They no longer even have a site. It is a scam. This is so deplorable. Or they tell the people that it shipped to the wrong place. Many people are hearing that too. All PayPal has to do is come to this site, go the the BBB site, on PayPal site, and there are a few other sites that have this fake company too, that enough people have been stolen from. What does it take for PayPal to realize this, this place or person is a scam artist, so good apparently PayPal is buying their lies…..

I ordered two quilts on Nov. 21, 2018. I contacted PayPal when they did not arrive by early January. I had read this was a scam. After I notified PayPal a second time, I began getting emails that the quilts were in route. I had my doubts, but they both arrived today. They are what I ordered. I like the prints, but they are little more than two pieces of material sewn together. There is no batting inside. Still, I had not expected to get anything, and I will use them decoratively. There is no way I would return them for a refund. It would never happen, I’m sure. At least they don’t smell to high heaven of petroleum——I have received clothes that are unwearable from the odor.

I placed an order on 11/24/2018, never got an email confirmation from them that mine shipped. But, when I went on my PayPal account this evening to search the transaction low and behold my tracking number was there. Would you believe my King Size Deer quilt supposedly shipped on 1/3/2019 also. Like everyone else, I went to the DHL website and the tracking number isn’t even a valid one. So…. who knows if and when I will get the quilt I ordered.
I filed a claim with PayPal this evening, hopefully they can get my refund of $79.90.

Well….I finallly received the “quilt” that I ordered! Please see my post from November 29 for my experience. I’ll pick up where my other post left off. I had just contacted PayPal. Sure enough, the next day, I received an email from amelia-quilt that “your order is on the way”. I wasn’t sure whether I’d actually receive anything and it was in PayPal’s hands now, so I tried to put it out of my mind and enjoy Christmas. I did give PayPal another call on, I think, Christmas Eve. I had forgotten how much time they had said to give it and I didn’t want this issue forgotten or overlooked. They told me to trust them that they were handling the situation and that because they had gotten a response from Amelie Quilts (or someone), that they were extending the deadline for resolution. I received a email notification about a parcel being delivered to our community mailbox and there it was. However, the “quilt” is flimsy, is less than queen size dimensions, and some of the pattern is faint and blurry. I intend to call PayPal to let them know the item received is not as was advertised.

We are reviewing the facts of the case and will carefully consider all the material before making a decision. We will let you know if we require additional information from you, and will contact you via email when a decision has been reached.”

Of course they did! PRINTABEL seems to keep the contact just in time to keep the dispute going. Surely, by now, PayPal must know it’s a scam! I’m losing hope that I will actually get a refund. 🙁

I saw Oregon as the address and figured they were US based.. Wrong..
Ordered a King and a Queen on 11/26/2018.. I have been emailing the company and they do reply with, they are handmade and please be patient.. I was finally given a DHL tracking number and it shows 12/7/2018 CHINA ENROUTE TO DHL ECOMMERCE DISTRIBUTION CENTER. It did not reach there till 12/23/2018. On 12/24/2018 Shanghai, CN MANIFESTED FOR OUTBOUND TRANSPORTATION.. Nothing again until 1/11/2019, that shows it in IL and passed off to the USPS.. There is no way a package with 2 quilts only weighs 1.6649 lbs.. I have not filed anything with PayPal as of yet and hoping it will not be too late by the time item/s get here and I have proof to dispute.. Tracking shows it should be delivered on 1/18/2019

Update.. Received only 1 of the items ordered.. It is just material, light with no batting in it.. The other item was not received.. In order to resolve the dispute, I am suppose to ship the one item I got back to China.. Dealing with PayPal on that now, as I am not paying $35 to return a 1.11lb so called queen size quilt.. That is half the cost of the purchase price.. I asked PayPal to get me a U.S. address to return it too, since PayPal believes that they have a company in the U.S. since they are using a U.S. address.. I told them I don’t believe they have one and are strictly in China.. Looks like I will be out of $129 and own one so called light weight quilt.. 🙁

I got scammed too. I’m actually still in the middle of it. I ordered in mid November. I started a dispute with PayPal. The decision was made in my favour. I got my refund. I thought it was over. Nope!! I got an email from PayPal saying the dispute has reopened due to additional information submitted by the seller. (Amelia Quilt’s). Anyways the parcel is on its way. I ordered a king size quilt and a queen size quilt. Together they weigh less than 2 lbs according to the tracking information. Just with this information alone I can tell I am not going to get what I thought I was going to get. Lesson learned I guess. I plan to refuse the parcel when it arrives.

ameliaquilt ! I was scammed. I thought ordering from a facebook ad sale would be legit/safe. WRONG! I opened a case via paypal today. Hope I get a refund for my hard earned money. I have read through the comments here and don’t see anyone mentioning that the QUILTS shown in the facebook ad are REAL. The quilts pictured were beautiful. Tons and tons of REAL pictures of Quilt choices from Cats to Bikes to Lions and on and on. THOSE QUILTS that ameliaquits stole to copy and paste to their scam site MUST EXIST?! ?
The makers of THOSE beautiful quits are losing money. I see on the TV show catfish they do an image search. When I have the time I will try to figure out how to grab the image of the beautiful Peacock Quilt I ordered and search for THE REAL MAKERS of these quilts. Anyone have any thoughts on this? ????

Well I was just reading your site and I was one that was taken in by this Amelia Quilt com. My order and payment went in on Dec. 4, 2018 and to date have not received the quilt. I e-mailed them several times. The answer is always the same. They got so many orders and they will be sending the hand made quilt as soon as they can. Today is Jan. 11, 2019 and I have not received the quilt. The service supporter is looking into the matter. Pay Pal has now sent a correspondence to them giving them a certain time to return my money. I am to let Pay Pal handle the matter and get back in touch with Pay Pal when the time is up to let them know if the money has been returned or if I have received the quilt. Thank you for your input on this company.

I too, ordered a quilt for a Christmas gift. I was a little skeptical when it had supposedly shipped, but then I received a tracking number, so thought perhaps the quilt was being delivered. However, upon tracking the package, I discovered it was a bogus number! I’m furious that people continue to concoct schemes to take other people’s money. I will be contacting my bank in the morning to try and resolve this – still short a Christmas gift!

I too was a victim of false advertisement embedded within Facebook. I thought it was a ligament company. However, I have come to learn that this is an internet scam and people never receive their merchandise. I did not initially receive the 25% promised discount on the second purchase. After the holidays Ameliaquilt.com took down their website and only have an email to correspond with them. They could not provide a committed ship date despite fact that they took the money. When I asked for a refund, they said they could not do that for me because the quit was sent out to production. I have not received the merchandise and no longer even want it. They never sent me a committed ship date so I became suspicious and started doing some research on them. I am disputing these charges with my bank right now because company never delivered on their products. The Christmas gift never got delivered and having to go through a mountain of paperwork to resolve this issue and get a refund for merchandise never delivered. I do think Facebook and PayPal should be held responsible as well for allowing such content to go through their sites. BIG SCAM!!

I too was scammed by AmeliaQuilt, aka: Ecrafta, aka: EmaCotton, Aka: Printable Company Limited and just now received a email that is exactly word for word, the same from: Judy @SixtyNineBlock. It even has the same “Sound of Music” pic. It has several pics of various quilts in the same layout as AmeliaQuilt.
I haven’t been able to report to the BBB or the ic3.gov sites. The ic3 site won’t allow me to enter a transaction date after multiple attempts.
PayPal seems to be a joke as well. I don’t have a account w/ them & sat on hold w/ the resolution Dept. For 1 1/2 hrs. They sent an email to Printable Company Limited and immediately received & forwarded their response w/ an erroneous tracking #.
I’m fortunate to only be out $58.91 ( for now) unlike hundreds of others.
      Uggggggh!!!
I don’t see a resolve from PayPal but will hope they refund me & everyone who was scammed. PayPal needs to be held accountable as well as Facebook!
I like hundreds of others, learned a hard lesson!
Now, let’s hope that that hard lesson will also convince many others how Facebook shares fake everything!! News, politics & all.

I too was scammed by https://amelia-quilt.com/. After seeing a Facebook ad for a quilt and ordering on November 17, 2018, I then realized something was “off” and I started to investigate. Much of the text on the site was stolen from other legitimate sites. Even though amelia-quilt.com portrays itself as a small business owned by a lady named Amelia in Oregon who makes handmade quilts, the payment went to a company named “Printabel Company Limited” (which I believe is in Hong Kong according to my investigation). The site was hosted on Shopify and the payment went through PayPal to pay01@hiweb.com. The site is no longer online. I uncovered dozens of sites affiliated with https://amelia-quilt.com/ – all scamming people and most hosted on Shopify. I notified Shopify but the site stayed up for weeks after that.

In my opinion, FACEBOOK and SHOPIFY and PAYPAL are all culpable in this scam issue. I reported dozens of these quilt ads on Facebook but Facebook continued to let the ads run. I have 100s of screenshots of these fraudulent scam ads selling fake quilts on Facebook. As bad as the scammers are, I put a lot of blame on Facebook for not verifying the authenticity of the ads they allow to be run on their platform.

Every time I try to file a dispute on the charge within PayPal, I get an error that says “We’re unable to file a case for this transaction. You can contact the Customer Service team for further queries.” I put a lot of blame for these frauds on PayPal for not shutting the scammers down when they started getting fraud reports. I believe that PayPal should verify any company who wants to use their services. Also, the site link from which I paid should come through in the PayPal transaction settings – currently it doesn’t (amelia-quilt.com is nowhere in the details of my payment).

I contacted Shopify to warn them, thinking they’d want to investigate and remove scammer sites from their platform. I told them that I had a long list of probable scam sites and to let me know if they’d like the list. They basically said that they ‘understand it can be frustrating waiting on a package to arrive and that we should report the transaction to the bank after 30 days!’ And they never asked for the list or any further information on my investigation.

So basically what I am telling you is you will have a really hard time resolving your issue. You may get your money back if you report it after 30 days, but don’t count on it.

But my absolute biggest complaint is with Facebook who continued to let these scam ads run throughout the Christmas 2018 season and those ads duped 100’s if not 1000’s of people. So frustrating. So here we are on 1/7/19 and I have yet to receive a quilt in the mail, which was a Christmas present.

RESOLUTIONS THAT I WOULD LIKE TO SEE IMPLEMENTED:

    1. When making a payment through PayPal, PayPal should be transparent by stating where your payment is going BEFORE you buy – is it going to China? What is the name of the company the payment goes to? I did not see the “Printabel Company Limited” name or the pay01@hiweb.com email address until AFTER I had made the purchase. All of this information might have helped to give me pause and incite me to investigate BEFORE I ordered.

    2. I want Facebook to implement a better fraud warning system so that real people like us can alert them to scams. And Facebook should investigate these ads immediately!

    3. I think all of us can start fighting back by putting angry face emoticons on all ads that we believe are scams. Maybe that will start to alert others that something may be wrong. I started doing this and I noticed a lot of others were as well.

    4. I think PayPal and Shopify and other platforms should make it easier to report a fraudulent site without waiting 30 days.

Facebook, PayPal and Shopify and others are all making money from these ads, web sites and transactions and I think they need to do a MUCH better job in policing these ads and web sites.

This sounds like my story. …. still waiting for basset hound blanket. Also paid through my credit card via PayPal. Tracking number from DHL Global Mail…not found. However, this blanket was not offered by Amelia Quilt, offered by Ecrafta, my inquiry was responded to by an Ema Coten. This was to be a Christmas gift for my husband. Will call my credit card company and PayPal to hopefully recoup my $54 and change.
When I went to the site pay01@hiweb.Com it immediately brought me to your site regarding Amelia Quilt which leads me to believe that Ecrafta is an associated scam.

I was also scammed by ordering a quilt in November 2017 for what was to be a Christmas gift. Paid by credit card through PayPal, received the confirmation, and when I tried to check on my order, the link went no where. I email the address they provided, and got a response that it would take 24 “business hours” to reply. They did keep sending me emails on more amazing deals that I could order and would need to order quickly, but they never replied about my original order. I even said I might order again, but would need information on my first order. after that, I didn’t even get “awesome deal!!” emails anymore. I sent more emails, and then a coworker of mine saw where people were saying that Amelia Quilt was a scam. I reached out to my credit card company and filed a fraud complaint, gave them copies of everything I have about the order, lack of communication etc. They are working on this for me. The strange thing is, I just received a notification today (01/04/19) from DHL with tracking on a package that was supposedly sent 12/27/18 from Printable Label Limited. The notification says if I have questions about this, to send email to Pay01@hiweb.com which links back to the Amelia Quilt. I looked at the tracking, it doesn’t say where the “1lb” package is coming from, and I doubt a King-sized quilt (of any quality) weighs 1 pound.

They are simply unbelievable Cynthia. The reports left here at scamwitness.com has been pretty staggering regarding the AmeliaQuilt.com scam site. If they send you anything, and it is something akin to a ‘quilt’, its probably one of those ‘flimsy rags’ that has a cheap print on it. Not a ‘quilt’.

Thank you kindly for you in-depth review/scam report on them and your time is much appreciated.

Would love to hear back from you Cynthia if you were granted your refund, and also, where did you friend first they were a scam? I know I heard it first from the BBB that one of their sites was ripping people off with fake quilts and no products. Thanks again ~ Scam Witness.

      Hi Dale,

PayPal is very familiar now with the AmeliaQuilt Scam. Many applications I imagine for refunds against many of these fake companies. Incredibly, I got about 2/3 reports of people saying they were happy to pay $60 for cheap print offs instead of the advertised products. One might consider those reports as fake because I can’t see how anyone would be happy paying that much for a product so cheap and inferior.

I am dealing with PayPal reviewing my quilt purchase via Umovietee aka weirdostuff.com aka BellaQuilt aka EliseQuilt, aka AmeliaQuilt right now. PayPal refunded my money so I thought, “whew, problem solved”, Then, I saw in my PayPal activity that the case was once again listed under the “being reviewed” column??? What??? My purchase also took place in November. I got the same run around that others are describing here. Today I got an email from PayPal that Umovietee had sent tracking information. Well, duh, YES there is a tracking number, but not a shipping company. I was advised to talk to the supplier directly. I wish! I’m gonna guess that I will get a notification from PayPal some day saying that the supplier has shown that the item was delivered, so “case-closed”. UGH! I HATE that I cannot talk to a PayPal representative directly. I included information in my original claim about all of the different supplier names used and that I thought this was an internet scam. I don’t know what else to do.

Then I dug deeper and found that Amelia Quilts was a scam website. I filed a report with the BBB in Oregon and contacted my credit card company and filed a dispute to get a credit back. I have read, from reports of others here, that they have had to spend hours on the phone to PayPal for payment resolutions. I assure you Louisa whole heartedly – PAYPAL KNOW DOWN RIGHT WELL AMELIAQUILT AND THEIR ‘KIN’ ARE CROOKS!

If there is anything I have learned from all of these reports on this scam network is this:- we can’t even rely on payment providers to keep their word on refunds even when its known, due to the high numbers of reports they must have received, to give out refunds. So yes, in my eyes, I will not be using PayPal ever to make a purchase.

Sorry to hear this Louisa and thank you for reporting them here to us – both of the sites you mentioned. I would say lastly to report to the BBB.org. If they somehow corner the owners of this scam network and prosecute them then your name would be on the list to try to gt you your money back. Unfortunately, most of the time it seems, cyber-crooks get away with it all the time.

I ordered a quilt from AmeliaQuilts, then one from Geemaland. I tried to cancel the first order because I like the 2nd better and rec’d an email “your email has been rec’d and will be reviewed…..” I tried to access their website and it was down, I became alarmed but I figured when I rec’d it, I would just return it for refund. After waiting almost 3 weeks, I emailed Geemaland about my order, rec’d a response that said basically their website was down due to a large number of unexpected orders (unexpected? at Christmas? Really?) but my quilt was done and had been shipped, no estimated time of arrival or tracking information. I became more alarmed that I had been scammed and began researching these sites. I found they are indeed scams. I contacted PayPal to begin disputes with both of them, telling PayPal these are scam sites. I have been awarded refunds for both products. Never again!!

Looks like I’m one of the many who was scammed by Amelia Quilts via FB. I’ve copied my tracking letter from PayPal, which I assumed is the same as all others have received. Of course there is no tracking information found when I enter the tracking number. I actually did not use PayPal, but a credit card for my payment. I hope the credit card company will reverse the charge. Isn’t it sad we live in a world where this happens to so many of us??

          Ms. Beam,
I got this same letter from “PayPal” even though, like you, I didn’t use that method of payment for my order. As soon as I realized this company was a scam, I went to my credit card company and had the charge reversed. I then cancelled that card because I was afraid of the possibility of this unsavory character/company having my number.
I do hope that you get your money back. I, for one, have learned my lesson.

Amelia Quilts is a scam, I ordered a quilt from them on November 19th then heard nothing from them until December 18th when I sent them an email asking for the status of my order, they sent me a reply saying my order had been sent out for production and they would send me an update email with the tracking number when it was shipped. Skip forward to December 20th, I got an email from service@paypal.com with a tracking number saying that the shipper was DHL Global Mail, and if I had any questions about this shipment to please contact pay01@hiweb.com. I was suspicious so I checked the tracking number with DHL and they said that that was not a good tracking number and they could not help me. Now I am going report this transaction to PayPal as a fraud. I am just sick over this, as I live on a fixed income and this was a Christmas present for my granddaughter and her husband, so all they got was a picture of the quilt and a promise that I would give them the $65.00 I paid for the quilt when I got my money back from PayPal, if I do!!

I too was scammed. I ordered a Nurses Quilt from Ameliaquilts.com ad on FB om 11/27/2018. Paid through PayPal. I filed a complaint through them on 12/19/2018. It was through a PayPal account called Printabel.com. I was told that they have to notify the company and that the company had 10 day to respond on the status of my purchase and if in fact I paid for something that is never going to come then I will receive a full refund. I guess we will see here in a day or 2. How can we report this to the FBI and BBB?

I do believe I too was scammed… ordered 2 quilts and never came and now when emailing them about it, there is a notice they are closed due to processing orders. But I also noticed on the site it went from emacotton to ameliaquilt. And they have it posted that they “dispatched items on 12/29/18″… yet today is only 12/28/18! I will see if I can get a refund thru my cc or not but I am very angry over this as they were gifts and a friend of mine ordered 2 after seeing the ones I ordered!

I ordered a quilt on 11/27. The website said only 5 left! So I order and the money is immediately taken form my PayPal. Then I get an e-mail saying it will take a while as it is hand crafted. That was my first red flag, why would they advertise only 5 left if it’s not even made yet? Then I get an email 12/10 that the quilt was finished and waiting on a tracking number. 12/17 I hadn’t heard anything and cannot find my order on the website. I emailed cs@ameliaquilt.com and they said all is fine with my order, Just waiting for a tracking number. 12/24 arrives and still no tracking order. I email again asking for a refund as it did not arrive by Christmas as they advertised. They reply that since the quilts are hand crafted it takes longer. So I replied, asking them why did I get an email saying that it was done, and requested my money back again. The final reply I received today is that they do not offer refunds or Exchanges. Funny, I wouldn’t be able to exchange anything since they’ve stolen my money and haven’t given me any product. I have filed a dispute with PayPal and crossing my fingers I get my money back. I hope this company goes down.

Like Shirley, I ordered a quilt from amelia-quilts.com on Friday after Thanksgiving. I immediately got a confirmation email from amelia-quilts and an email saying “payment to Printabel Company Limited.” Then I began receiving emails that either my order was being processed or Black Friday and Cyber Monday deals. A day later I received another email from amelia-quilts telling me my order was being processed. Because the quilt was supposedly being handmade, I tried being patient. But since this was a gift for my new daughter-in-law, I was anxious and worried when I had not received it yet. Now, I get an email with “updated shipping” information through Paypal. However, the tracking number is not valid. In contacting DHL, I found out that they received an initial package notification on 12/5/2018 but they never received a package. I tried to check up on my order and when I click on the original confirmation email, it leads to a blank page. I’ve tried several ways and get either a “we’re closed to finish all the products that were ordered” or nothing at all. I’ve contacted Paypal and hope this issue will be resolved soon. I’m upset that I fell for a scam…and also that I was so excited to have a wonderful gift for my daughter-in-law.

      Hi Victoria,

Don’t be hard on yourself. Even people who are experts are exposing online scams sometimes get it wrong.

Definitely save all evidence to put forward to your payment provider.

Some people have had their refunds rejected on stupid grounds such as because the victim gave the scammers their payment info. For me, that is not a reason but an excuse. I’d shut down my account with them and go elsewhere. Not OK.

There is something you can do if you wish. Any shares on Social Media of this Article on the Amelia Cotton Quilt Company is most desperately appreciated Victoria.

I am about 30 minutes away from exposing (YET ANOTHER ONE OF THEIR SITES – ITS NEW!) and so shares of that one is also appreciated.

I was also scammed by these crooks! My story is exactly the same as everyone else… My question is this… If these people are taking payments through PayPal, who is known for being great when it comes to trying to protect consumers, then how are these people making money? Not just this fake company, but all of them? If people dispute the charge with their bank/credit card, and they a get credited back their money, then does the bank just eat the loss, or do they actually get the money from the scammers?? This is the 2nd time this has happened to me (not with the same company) and not only does it infuriate me, it just boggles my mind that people spend the time, energy, and money to create these websites to scam innocent people, and then they can miraculously just disappear yet the authorities can track down any IP address that has even looked at [ censored ], and prosecute them to the fullest extent of the law.

      Hi Julie,

You make a very good point. The hosting providers don’t seem to ask for verification of who someone is when a site is registered. I see that as a major problem and perhaps that needs to be changed. Honestly, it is outside my area of knowledge so I really don’t know how these scammers are getting away with it.

Sorry the slight censorship. I have a code on my site that is very sensitive and may flag this article for removal at the ever so slightest insinuation of anything it may deem inappropriate. Hope you understand.

Always look for reviews of sites that are new and you don’t know. Even better, just shop with Amazon etc.

      HI Marion,

Thank you so much for our in-depth report on AmeliaQuilt, also known as the Amerlia Cotton Quilt Company, it is appreciated.

There are a number of scam signs you may want to keep in mind in the future.

No Founder Name located in WHOIS.COM. Simply go to that site. Now enter in their generic URL i.e. no http or https.

Address is not complete or not theirs. Simply Google the address and see if it belongs to multiple online companies. If so then its a scam address.

But also, if the address turns out to be a residential area or a different business then you know it is not theirs and actively trying to hide their real location.

Yet again on the address, if the address in WHOIS is different to the one within the actual website. Again, Google that address and see if it belongs to them.

When prices are far too low relative to the quality of products. Did you know those quilts start at $750? Even they can go into the $1000’s and so $60 is far too low.

Google image drop one or more of the sites images. Sometimes they will show up a different URL then the site you got it from. That is a sign they have stolen those images and therefore pretending to sell them.

If you see brand names, then email the company brand names, and ask them if they have given that site permission to sell their products. The answer, when the site is a scam, will be NO.

Check the bottom of their site. Sometimes scammers will lie about how old they are. If they say e.g. 2010 – 2018, go to WHOIS and you will see the actual date. Where they conflict then you know the site is lying to make you think they have been round a long time to garner a sense of trust and legitimacy.

Try their email address. If Google can’t deliver then its a fake company.

Google everything!- Their email, phone number, address and see if any of those bits of data belong to other online companies. But also see if there are complaints already that those bits of data.

When support, has a USA, UK, CANADA, AUSTRALIA address but Support’S English is broken and they ask you to be patient and to understand and – my personal favorite – sympathize with them because your order is not with you yet. No professional and legit company trains their staff to speak like this to customers.

When your tracking info is fake and or it disappears.

Hope that helps Marion and once again thank you kindly for your excellent report on the scammer company called AmeliaQuilt – ~ Scam Witness.

I was also scammed. I ordered in Mid November and still no package. They did say it sent out through DHL but the tracking information has never updated. Tried contacting the company and no reply and also tried getting hel from DHL and they tell me I have to contact the seller. So aggravating this was a gift for my daughter. Guess I better close out my card

There is no doubt that AmeliaQuilt is a scam site. No doubt. There are online forces seeking to find out who the people are behind that site and all their connected sites.

I suggest you seek a refund Heidi.

Thank you for letting us know your order has also not arrived. There is a list online that is saying the same as you. Those that receive something then will see that it is near enough worthless per its quality and the price you paid for it.

I also ordered a quilt and have not received it. I did get an email from PayPal saying it had been shipped DHL Global Mail and the tracking number but when I went in to look at it on line it said the number was not a valid number. Seller says PRINTABEL COMPANY LIMITED and for questions to contact pay01@hiweb.com. That also goes nowhere. I am calling my bank and filing a fraud report to get my money refunded. I ordered a quilt from Amelia’s quilt the middle of November. The funds were taken out if my pay pal account within 2 days. I received a tracking number for DHL delivery. I called DHL yesterday and they told me my order was coming out of China and would be here around January 22 after it went through customs. I don’t ever expect to see a quilt.

I ordered a quilt on 12/2 for my parents for Christmas from Amelia Quilts. I also rec’d the same email stating my quilt was ready to be shipped. That was over a week ago. Still no quilt. Their website is shut down. I filed a claim with the BBB. I’m pretty sure I’ll never see my money again or the quilt I ordered. Sadly, I will just have to use this as a learning experience. One similarity I am noticing it that an ad was generated on Facebook and that is how we ordered our Quilts. Does anyone know if there’s a way to contact Facebook about this scam company?? They must have paid to advertise on Facebook so there has to be a way to fine these people.

My wife sent me a link of Facebook for Amelia quilt, and it appears like the many others posting I have been scammed. I was hopeful it was not as I received an email about a week ago telling me my quilt was finished and I would be notified once it shipped. The sad thing for me is that I ordered two other items my wife sent me thru Facebook and they too were scams, so I made a triple mistake. I paid on Paypal and the company involved was named Co co company. Please, please anybody reading this to be very careful when purchasing online, and it helps to do a little research before making a purchase from a company that you are not sure about.

I agree AJ. It simply can’t be said enough to look for reviews of any site selling their goods online. Where too many bad reviews and reports exist on a site that is selling goods – STAY CLEAR OF THAT SITE!!!!!

Not everyone can be lying – so, our best defense is doing an ever so little research to find out the truth.

I also ordered a blanket from Amelia quilt on Nov 30 thinking this Harley blanket was going to be so cool for my dad for Christmas… havent got a email the money was taken right out and I also paid through a Facebook app… I should of known.. I paid $59.99 for the blanket and all sites say they are shut down working on blankets that were ordered before Christmas. Went to send them a email it was kicked back to me with a error saying “oops something went wrong..” this is inferating for sure … now to try and get my bank to reverse the funds… what a hassle nobody deserves to go through this… so if your thinking of ordering off line and not quite sure DONT do it. I hope these low life’s are caught… we all work hard for our money for them to scam us and get away with it, my suggestion is to NOT order anything if you aren’t sure…

My husband ordered a quilt on the first days of November, where they charged him really fast and sent him an email with a tracking number and that they will contact him when it’s being processed and shipped. He emailed them last week worried because he needed that gift for his father and they told him since they only had 2 left they were being processed and it will get here soon. December 17 arrives and still no quilt, no emails response, no phone number, went to the website and is not available they shut it down. nothing that we can do just to wait for them to answer but still nothing so I went in google and typed Amelia’s quilt scam and it turns out they are scammers and there are so many people going through the same and so much money they have taken from us hard working people.

The email address was connected to ECrafta. Further emails checking on the shipping status went unanswered. Now, when I go back to the original email and click the ‘View Your Order’ link, it goes to a page at Ameliaquilt.com stating ‘Oops! That page cannot be found’. I have filed a claim through Paypal. Hopefully, they come through. The seller’s name from the email I got from Paypal is PRINTABEL COMPANY LIMITED which I was able to trace to Hong Kong.

Guilty as charged….Stupid! I, too, was scammed by Amelia Quilt. I’m out $170….because I feel for their very cute (photoshopped) quilts. I was so stupid to not notice that every single picture of the quilts was in exactly the same shape…every fold, every leaf hanging over the edge, every shadow! I have filed a dispute with my credit card company, and I am watching my card charges like a hawk. But, I have absolutely no confidence that I will ever see that $170 again…not to mention ever seeing a quilt or anything like a quilt. My only saving grace is that I am so mad at myself, I know I will never order another product off the internet except through Amazon Prime.

Yes, ameliaquilt (with no “S”) is showing up, but with info that all order taking has been suspended for the holidays and you can enter your order number to track. Entering an order number obviously does not work.

Also, the scammer is staying in touch just often enough with paypal to delay or void any dispute filed with paypal. Keep all info, screenshots, emails, etc as proof or paypal will deny your claim.

I have reported the scam ads to Facebook several times. They do not care and refuse to take them down. The most Facebook will do is keep them from showing up on your timeline.

He was trying to buy me something for our anniversary and when it didn’t come he tried to contact them by email asking for a phone number so he could get the status of his order. After not getting a reply, he followed up with another email. This time he did get a response 6 days later saying it was in production and that they would send a tracking number when it was shipped. In the meantime, he read all of these comments about the company and knew that he’d been “had”. We have disputed the charges on our credit card and closed out the card. I just requested a refund from PayPal for the 2 quilts I ordered. Their website doesn’t exist anymore and they have not responded to 2 messages I sent to the customer service email. I did receive one message saying my quilt had been made, and would be shipped via DHL, but I don’t believe them, especially after seeing this page!

Ordered a quilt back on 12/3. I received a few emails, confirming my order, telling me my order was in process, and finally telling me that my quilt was ready for shipment. It’s been a week now, and still no shipping confirmation or tracking number has been provided to me. I got online this morning to check on the shipping status of my order, but of course the website has been taken down. Then I came across this page. My pay pal receipt also came back printabel company limited. I will be contacting PayPal, my bank, and the BBB. Hopefully I can get my money back, but if not, lessoned learned.

Purchased a quilt for my son on 12/5 and haven’t found any emails regarding shipping. I checked the bank account and yes, payment already happened. I will be filing a report with PayPal and will contact my bank tomorrow. It’s crazy how legit these scam sites seem. I too found them via Facebook. AmeliaQuilts redirects to here: https://ameliaquilt11.com/ and the site isn’t good.

I too have a feeling of being scammed. I order a Fishing quilt, perfect for my son.. they had me at that! This is the first time ever that I have had this experience of being scammed, so not sure how to go about this. The comments above have helped and also confirmed the sick feeling in my stomach that something didn’ t seem right.
I ordered from Facebook too, site amelia-quilts.com their was a URL: http://ameliaquilt.com/products/a1115-fishing-6053 given to me. Cost was $64.90 for the quilt. I also got a quick “Thank you for your order” response. on Dec 3. I paid with my credit card, but also Pay Pal became part of it as well. In subsequent emails from them it said it would take 7-10 days and that DHL would ship it.
One email had a photo of this scary looking individual.. with a head scarf and piercings..tattoos, very bright colored shirt.. funny, but he does not look like someone who would be making or involved with quilting! that was the first wake-up and be careful twinge for me! One line in that email relating to a 20% off offer said “There’s no catch, no nothing”…I read that differently now! Right..No nothing, is what I am getting!!! Followed up by ” WE JUST LOVE YOU THAT MUCH”!! Hmmmmm
I have email addresses as: Amelia Quilt also: cs@ecrafta.com Last email dated Dec. 10, says my quilt is ready for shipping??? ” Waiting for courier to pick it up, then it is in the process. Due to high peak season, your package will be arrived a little bit late than usual , will send you tracking number from DHL when shipped out. thanks for your patience Larraine! DHL Will be packed to ensure utmost security and problem prevention. Time will pass by soon, and you ‘ll have your new quilt at your doorstep. With warmest regards!!!! Amelia”. (I am not holding my breath)
The charge showed up on our credit card statement PAYPAL *PRINTABEL, Cleared Dec 3, what happened to not charging until shipped? Category on statement says : Merchandise – Home Supply Warehouse Stores Reference number: DWNHDSOS/Merchant country: USA
I appreciate the sites you have all shared to report such shenanigans..I will use them!!!!! thank you to each of you for reporting your experiences. I am not the only one!!!

I have the exact same problem as everyone else. Ordered 2 quilts on 11/26 and received immediate confirmation. Just yesterday decided to check on the status since I had not received the quilts and found the website no longer exists. I immediately contacted PayPal to request a refund. I received an email from PayPal at 1:07 am saying:
“PRINTABEL COMPANY LIMITED has provided a response to the claim you filed against them. We are reviewing the facts of the case and will carefully consider all the material before making a decision. We will let you know if we require additional information from you, and will contact you via email when a decision has been reached. ”
Hopefully, I will get my money back. In the meantime, I am also filing a complaint with the BBB.

I did check out Amelia Quilt before ordering and saw no posts on 11/20 when ordered. It indicated shipping time of 5 to 7 days. On 12/2 I tried to email them to find out status as it was for my son-in-law birthday on the 7th. My email was returned. I then started googling and found over 40 + reports about fraud (first report dated 11/27). So I reported to PayPal. Then a few days later received an email from Amelia Quilt that I could buy additional for a discount…….I forward the info to Spoof@paypal.com . PayPal HAS REFUNDED my money but since then have received two emails that the quilt has been shipped, one on 12/7 and another today.

How long did it take for a PayPal refund? I received the same message yesterday from PayPal that was mentioned above. They hey head back from the business I filled a claim with and they are reviewing it. I am worried they are using screen shots of the emails they sent me saying my item is ready to ship to delay my refund. I would like the refund sooner then later because like many I am not scrambling trying to buy new gifts for family members.

I too fell prey to this ad floating around facebook. I ordered two quilts on November 19th. I received one email stating thanks for the order, then nothing. This weekend I started to get concerned about where the order was and tried to contact them. The only way is through a message box on the site. No phone or email. Then I started to dig. Found a link that led me to many many bad reviews. I filed a complaint with Paypal this weekend and today was granted a claim win with refund. I bet Paypal is getting flooded now by the complaints as mine went through amazingly fast but saw a few that were earlier and they had to call and keep working on a refund. But did get them. So I advise everyone that purchased via Paypal.. go to find your purchase activity details on this product in your Paypal account. Then click on the “report a problem” link found at the bottom of those details and copy paste those details of the purchase transaction and ask for a refund due. I did it on Saturday and was granted the claim and refund today on Tuesday. Good luck everyone. And thank you so much @Scam Witness for help getting the word out!

Same issue here as everyone else. I ordered on 11/20 and received an email immediately confirming the order. Then received another email saying my order was being processed and would take 5-7 working days to complete and I would receive another email when it ships. On 12/6 I tried responding to the email I received the confirmation from and have not received a response.

I too was a little concerned initially and should have just gone with my gut…but my sister sent me the link and convinced me to buy it for my mom for Christmas. I got on today and there are no phone numbers for contacting and the link no longer works for my order…so I figured I was right.

I reported it to PayPal this evening and once I filed the request PayPal has noted I should receive a response by 12/20…we shall see. Super frustrated right now. I am getting emails from them very frequently and today’s email when I click to view quilts to purchase it takes me to ameliacotton10.com.

I too was taken by this. I ordered on from Amelia Qulits 11/16. I got a text confirmation immediately. I started emailing a week ago through PayPal and on my own. I always get the same response….it was sent to production. I was told there were 3 left when I ordered so I knew it was scam at that point. I just escalated through PayPal today. I did try to research at the time of order but I couldn’t find anything about Amelia Quilts at the time. I did see the Nonnaland one but I assumed it was a different company. I purchased anyway because PayPal was an option and if it was a scam I knew I could get my money back through their buyer protection. Now after reading these, I am worried. Why would PayPal not refund? Amelia Quilt’s PayPal email is: pay01@hiweb.com.

There are many fake quilt sites but that site does not strike me as scam straight off the bat. However, there is a few things that have me questioning them as well, but right now, I don’t believe they are a scam – I could be wrong.

I hear you loud and clear! I think the issue is identity clarification and cross-international laws. These scammers typically operate outside the country they are scamming residents from. This invariably makes it trickier, not impossible, to make arrests. As for their site still being allowed to operate is anyone’s guess.

I ordered from AmeliaQuilt without checking it out. I have always checked out sites but this one I did not. I guess that Farmers Quilt had me since my dad was a Farmer. I had a bad feeling right after my transaction because their Website site said “Only 3 left”. Well after I ordered mine I went back in and it still said that. When I paid I saw the PayPal emblem all over their page, but it did not dawn on me I was not signed into PayPay (wow I must have been in a fog). Anyhow their confirmation email said their workers were “making” the quilts….What I thought there were only 3 left. That was another clue. This is when I started searching and found this website. The charge is pending so I can’t do anything just yet. When I hit reply to my original confirmation email, their email is from cs@ameliaquilt.com which looks ok. When I received my confirmation the bottom had this: cs@ecrafta.com; when I sent them an email from their website saying I want to cancel my order the automatic email I received was from cs@ecrafta.com. So the different email addresses made me think scam also. They have not replied to me about cancelling. PayPal chat could not help me because I was not signed into Paypal. They told me to call.

When I left a 2nd basket w/o ordering I receive an email asking if I was having problems ordering, it listed their address as: Amelia Quilt 30 E Dryden Ha Noi, HN 10000

Oh yes, when I received my email saying they are “making” my quilt it shows a picture of some people working, when I clicked on the picture it took me to https://skullnmore.com/ showing a picture of a bedspread.

I ordered a quilt from amelia-quilts.com last week (Nov. 20). Immediately got a confirmation email from amelia-quilts and an email saying “payment to Printabel Company Limited”. This is after spending 2 days contemplating and trying to do some research before ordering. A day later I received another email from amelia-quilts telling me my order was being processed. This eased my mind somewhat. Then I got a bunch of emails about their Black Friday and Cyber Monday deals offering me a percentage off my next order. Now, a week later, I tried to find a way to check up on my order and when I click on the original confirmation email, it leads to a blank page. I bring up the webpage and their “Collections” page is empty. I have a sick feeling in my stomach. 🙁

No problem at all. If I can help someone else to not become a victim! This is the first time I’ve been scammed with shopping online. My husband and I have purchased sweatshirts and t-shirts from what we thought were similar sites with no issues.
I just got off the phone with my bank. I need to wait 15 days from time of purchase and if amelia-quilts haven’t delivered, I try to contact them. If unsuccessful, my bank with recover the money for me.

Now that sounds like a great bank to be with Shirley 🙂 . Some reports on this site indicated their own banks would not help at all. I feel that is a terrible decision so I am very happy to hear that there is a resolution for a refund for you in site.

Thank you so much for letting us know the out come of that with your bank, it is very much appreciated Shirley. ~ Scam Witness.

An update. Bank wanted me to wait 14 days from time of purchase and then call them back. When I did, they told me sorry but I should have been informed during the first call that I needed to go through PayPal for a resolution first. Oops! 🙁 They did say they would make things right if PayPal doesn’t and that I have up until the first of February…that I should call them back if PayPal doesn’t come through. I called PayPal today, and they’ve entered a dispute with “Printabel” (that was the payee when I tried to purchase the quilt from Amelia-quilts.com. The dispute lasts 10 days so, apparently, if Printabel or Amelie-quilts doesn’t respond with order info/tracking or a refund by the Dec 21, PayPal will refund my money because it was an “insured” purchase. So, still patiently waiting (and racking my brain for another Christmas gift idea 🙂 )!

Exact same problem here. Identical! Supposed to be Amelia Quilt. Payment went to a Printable through PayPal
Their email for dispute through PayPal is Pay01@hiweb.com
Tried the email on their webpage and it comes back as undeliverable!

They advertised on Facebook. Now can’t be found. I,purchased thru PayPal just in case that was the issue of fraud. They are no where to be found now. I even took a screenshot of quilt and name. Just reported to PayPal as fraud with picture.

      Hi Cara,

AmeliaQuilt.com is actually coming up as AmeliaQuilts.com now. They seem to be redirecting their old site to this new URL. I did not notice they were called AmeliaQuilts.com before now. So, I checked. There is indeed an AmeliaQuilts.com and seems like that site’s name is being used to confuse people. Slight miss-typo and you could end up on the wrong site, which is of course, the hopes of such fraudulent sites.

Yes, these fake shopping sites are doing a lot of work on social media to pull in unwary customers. Thank you kindly for reporting Amelia Quilts in this forum, it is very much appreciated 🙂 ~ Scam Witness.
